This classic boozer located in Whitechapel is one of my favorite ones in London, and that says a lot!
It was recently taken over by the Bermondsey Pub Company who owns looooads of other cool pubs and did a great job refurbishing this one.
The place has two terraces and a conservatory that are just lovely, and inside you can find live bands playing versions of old-timey tunes every Thursday, plus your classic pub quiz on Wednesdays.
They specialise in pies and also do and English breakfast menu in the morning.
You can also order your pies to take away, that are provided by the popular award-winning British pie producer Pieminister.
What I like about this pub is that I go for one pint and I end up spending the night there. Even though they are not the best pies in London, it’s so lovely in there that is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
