When we eat at the airport we usually do it inside, once we have checked in and gone through all the security hassle. But there are occasions when you want to eat with someone that’s not flying with you and you need to do it at the restaurants that are before the security control.
Then our options decrease, and so does the quality of the food. I am tired of trying to find places to eat well at the airport, where I spend a lot of time. That’s why I am glad when I find restaurants like this one at Alicante Airport.
If you are lucky enough to have spent some time on the Mediterranean coast in Spain and you have to fly in or out from Alicante, you will find three restaurants before the security control: a Burger King, a sandwich shop and Sabor A Mar. This last one is a gastrobar with a very healthy Mediterranean menu where you can enjoy one last daego meal before leaving paradise!
The venue is very modern, clean, bright and nice. Also the service is very quick. You can order á-la-carte or go with the set menu with three courses for £20. They use local fresh products and the food is super tasty.
It feels like you are in a proper restaurant, just that it’s full of suitcases, but it’s not a bad option at all if you need to get some food in your belly before jetting off.
